UMBC Wind Ensemble
UMBC Concert Hall, Performing Arts and Humanities Building
The Department of Music presents the UMBC Wind Ensemble in its first performance in UMBC’s new Performing Arts and Humanities Building Concert Hall. The Ensemble is comprised of exceptional woodwind, brass and percussion musicians who enjoy the challenge of performing excellent concert literature.
The program will feature:
Darius Milhaud – La création du monde (Creation of the World), Op. 81a
Arnold Schoenberg – Theme and Variations for Band, Op. 43a
Dmitri Shostakovich – Festive Overture in A major, Op. 96
Gordon Jacob – An Original Suite for Military Band
Josef Suk – Toward a New Life, Op. 35c
