The Shriver Hall Concert Series presents Jordan Bak, viola, Megan Moore, mezzo-soprano, and Wynona Wang, piano.
“A star in the making” (Seattle Pi), Jamaican-American violist Jordan Bak is an outstanding artist of passion, energy, and authenticity. The recipient of prizes at the Sphinx, Concert Artists Guild, and the Tertis International Viola competitions, Bak is a featured artist for WQXR’s inaugural Artist Propulsion Lab. He makes his Baltimore Debut with a program featuring works from the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries, led by Brahms’s enchanting and rarely heard Opus 91:

Jessica Meyer (b. 1974) — ‘On fire…no, after you’ for Mezzo-Soprano, Viola, and Piano (world premiere)

Arnold Bax (1883–1953) — Viola Sonata
