Arbutus Archive Exhibition
August 12 – October 17
The Gallery at OCA Mocha presents the Arbutus Archive Exhibition, continuing through October 17.
Founded in 1896, the town of Arbutus, situated on the southeastern side of UMBC, celebrates its 125 anniversary this year. OCA Mocha commemorates the milestone with a historical exhibition featuring family photos, portraits, landscapes, and other art, artifacts, photography and ephemera that tell the story of Arbutus.
Take a walk through what life might have been like during the years before now! This exhibition includes photographs of the area dating back as far as a century, and objects that shine insight on aspects of everyday life for hundreds of people who built a remarkable community.
The Gallery at OCA Mocha is dedicated to promoting and showcasing the creative efforts of UMBC and the surrounding community in its mission to unite people through artistic expression. Located at 5410 East Drive in Arbutus, Maryland, the gallery is open free to the public, with hours 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. (Hours may vary — please check OCA Mocha’s website for current information.)
